Trips and excursions

Bratislava's surroundings offer attractions to be explored by curious tourists as well. The nearby romantic ruins of the medieval Devin Castle on a hill above the confluence of Danube and Morava rivers are reachable either by boats or public buses.
The Galeria Danubiana, a unique modern art museum located 15 km (10 miles) is located southeast of Bratislava and is also accessible by public transportation.

Travel agencies organise guided tours along the Small Carpathian Wine Route connected with wine tasting, visits of ancient royal wine towns and the wonderfully preserved Cerveny Kamen Castle.

Vienna, only 60 km away, is a perfect destination for a one-day trip. To get there you can either take one of the busses running regularly from the Novy Most stop in the Old Town or a boat. High speed boats the Twin City Liners are connecting the two cities four times a day.
